Have you ever watched a YouTube video that was too quiet, while a game running in the background was painfully loud? You don't need to constantly change your main system volume. Windows has a built-in tool that lets you control the sound level for every open application separately.
How to Use It:
Find the Speaker Icon: Look at the bottom right corner of your screen (in the taskbar system tray) and find the speaker/volume icon.
Open the Mixer: Right-click on the speaker icon.
Select the Tool: From the pop-up menu, click on Open volume mixer.
Adjust the Sound: A new window will appear showing a separate volume slider for your main speakers, plus individual sliders for every app currently running (like your web browser, game, or music player). Simply drag the slider up or down for the specific app you want to change.
Now you can keep your music quiet and your notifications loud, all at the same time!
