How to Speed Up a Slow Windows PC in 3 Minutes (No Apps Needed)

 If your Windows computer is running slow, you do not need to buy expensive software. You can safely remove junk files using the built-in Windows Disk Cleanup tool. This built-in utility is safe and takes only a few minutes to run.

Step 1: Open the Run Dialog

  1. Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type cleanmgr into the box and press Enter.

  3. Select your main system drive (usually C:) and click OK.

Step 2: Select Files to Delete A new window will appear analyzing your drive. Once it loads, you will see a list of file categories you can safely delete to free up space.

  1. Check the boxes next to "Temporary files" and "Recycle Bin". (Warning: Do NOT check the "Downloads" folder unless you are absolutely sure you do not need any downloaded files).

  2. Click OK, then click "Delete Files" to confirm.

  3. Restart your computer.
