If your Windows computer is running slow, you do not need to buy expensive software. You can safely remove junk files using the built-in Windows Disk Cleanup tool. This built-in utility is safe and takes only a few minutes to run.
Step 1: Open the Run Dialog
Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
Type
cleanmgrinto the box and press Enter.Select your main system drive (usually C:) and click OK.
Step 2: Select Files to Delete A new window will appear analyzing your drive. Once it loads, you will see a list of file categories you can safely delete to free up space.
Check the boxes next to "Temporary files" and "Recycle Bin". (Warning: Do NOT check the "Downloads" folder unless you are absolutely sure you do not need any downloaded files).
Click OK, then click "Delete Files" to confirm.
Restart your computer.
This simple maintenance clears gigabytes of dead files and helps your system run smoother.
