It is very common to forget your home Wi-Fi password when you need to connect a new TV or smartphone. If your Windows computer is already connected to the network, you can easily view the hidden password without resetting your router.

  1. Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type ncpa.cpl into the box and press Enter. The Network Connections window will open.

  3. Double-click on your active Wi-Fi connection adapter.

  4. A new status window will pop up. Click the "Wireless Properties" button.

  5. Go to the "Security" tab at the top.

  6. Check the box next to "Show characters". Your hidden Wi-Fi password will now appear in the "Network security key" box.

Write it down on a piece of paper and keep it in a safe place.
