A system image is exactly like a digital photograph of your entire hard drive. It copies everything: Windows, your settings, installed programs, and all your files. If your PC completely crashes or gets a severe virus, you can restore everything exactly as it was. Here is how to create one.
How to Create It:
Open Control Panel: Press the Start button, type Control Panel, and hit Enter.
Find Backup Tools: Change the "View by" option at the top right to Large icons. Find and click on Backup and Restore (Windows 7). (Do not worry about the "Windows 7" name; this tool works perfectly on Windows 10 and 11).
Start the Wizard: On the left side of the window, click on Create a system image.
Choose a Destination: Windows will scan for available storage. Select where you want to save the backup. It is highly recommended to select On a hard disk and choose an external USB drive. Click Next.
Confirm and Start: Review the settings, ensuring your main system drive (usually C:) is included. Click Start backup.
Let the process run in the background. It might take a while, but your entire digital life is now safely insured!
