Is your laptop battery dying faster than it used to? Windows has a hidden tool that creates a detailed professional report about your battery's health, its original capacity, and how much it has worn out over time.
How to Do It:
Open Command Prompt: Type cmd in your Windows search bar, right-click it, and select Run as Administrator.
Type the Command: Copy and paste the following command and press Enter:
powercfg /batteryreportFind the Report: Windows will save a file named battery-report.html. Usually, it's located in your user folder (e.g., C:\Users\YourName).
Open and Read: Double-click the file to open it in your browser. Look for "Design Capacity" (original) vs "Full Charge Capacity" (current).
This report is the best way to know if it's time to replace your battery or if a software issue is draining your power!
