Need to record a video of your screen? Whether you want to capture a tutorial, a video call, or a clip from a game, you don't need to buy expensive software. Windows has a free, built-in tool that handles screen recording perfectly. Here is how to use it.
Press Windows Key + Shift + S on your keyboard (this opens the Snipping Tool bar).
At the top of the screen, click the Video Camera icon (Record) instead of the photo icon.
Click the "New" button.
Use your mouse to select the area of the screen you want to record.
Click the "Start" button at the top to begin recording. A countdown will appear.
When you are finished, click the red "Stop" button.
Windows will open a preview window where you can watch your video and click the floppy disk icon to save it as an MP4 file.
Now you can share your screen recordings easily and for free!
