Microsoft Defender is good, but it can slow down your PC. The Antimalware Service Executable process often uses too much CPU. Follow these steps to fix it:
Step 1: Open Antivirus Settings
Click the Start button.
Type Windows Security and press Enter.
Select Virus & threat protection.
Click on Manage settings.
Step 2: Add an Exclusion
Scroll down to the Exclusions section.
Click Add or remove exclusions.
Click Add an exclusion and select Folder.
Copy and paste this path:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows DefenderClick Select Folder.
Restart your computer to apply the fix.
