If your screen colors look washed out, too bright, or too dark, you do not need to download third-party software to fix it. Windows has a built-in Display Color Calibration tool that helps you adjust gamma, brightness, contrast, and color balance for the best visual experience.
Here is how to run it safely:
Step 1: Open the Run Dialog
Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard at the same time.
Type
dccwinto the box and press Enter.
Step 2: Start the Calibration
The Display Color Calibration window will now appear on your screen.
Click Next at the bottom right to begin the process.
Follow the on-screen instructions. The tool will guide you through several screens where you might need to use your monitor's physical buttons to adjust the settings. At the end of the process, you can compare the previous and new calibrations before clicking Finish to save the changes.
