How to Make Text Bigger on Windows (Change Display Size)

Disclaimer: For educational purposes only. The author is not responsible for any display hardware issues or software scaling glitches. This guide is strictly for Windows 10 and 11 operating systems. Do not attempt these steps on Apple macOS devices, as their display settings are completely different. Proceed entirely at your own risk.

If you find it difficult to read the small text on your computer screen, you do not need to lower your screen resolution. Windows has a built-in feature to make text and apps bigger and easier to read.

  1. Right-click on an empty space on your desktop and select "Display settings".

  2. Scroll down until you see the "Scale and layout" section.

  3. Look for the drop-down menu under "Scale" (or "Change the size of text, apps, and other items").

  4. Click on the menu and change it from the recommended 100% to 125% or 150%.

  5. Your screen will immediately adjust, making all text, icons, and windows larger and much easier on your eyes.

You can always change this setting back to 100% if you feel the text is too big.
