If you need to save an image of your screen, a receipt, or an error message, you do not need to download extra software. Windows has a fast, built-in tool for this.
Look at your keyboard and press these three keys at the same time: Windows Key + Shift + S.
Your screen will become slightly dark, and a small menu will appear at the top.
Your mouse pointer will turn into a crosshair. Click and drag the mouse to select the exact area you want to capture.
Once you let go of the mouse button, the image is automatically copied to your clipboard.
A notification will pop up in the bottom right corner. Click on it to open the Snipping Tool, where you can save the image to your computer by clicking the floppy disk icon.
You can now easily paste this image into an email, document, or chat by pressing Ctrl + V.
