When a printer stops working because a document is completely stuck in the queue, simply clicking "Cancel" often does nothing. To get your printer working again, you need to manually clear the digital traffic jam. Here is the safest and most effective way to do it.
How to Fix It:
Stop the Print Spooler: Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog. Type services.msc and press Enter. Scroll down the list until you find Print Spooler. Right-click it and select Stop. Keep this window open.
Open the Printers Folder: Press Windows Key + R again. Type the exact path
C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERSand press Enter. Click Continue if Windows asks for administrator permission.Delete Stuck Files: You will see files inside this folder. These are your stuck print jobs. Select all the files and delete them. Do not delete the folder itself, only the files inside it.
Restart the Service: Go back to the Services window you left open. Right-click on Print Spooler again, but this time select Start.
Your print queue is now completely empty, and you can safely try printing your document again!
